Batteries
Abelstedt watches uses quartz clockworks. Empty quartz watch batteries should be changed immediately in order to avoid leakages of the battery.
Watch Straps
Avoid impacts and shocks to the watch as they can damage the clockwork. Water resistance should be checked after any severe shock. Furthermore, avoid extreme temperature variations.
Detergents, solvents, fragrances, and cosmetics may damage the watch strap or the bracelet.
Preventing Scratches
Avoid wearing jewelry on the same wrist that you wear your watch. Keep watches and jewelry well apart from each other to prevent them from getting scratched.
Water Resistance
In watches, water resistance cannot be guaranteed. If the watch has been subject to a severe shock, we recommend having its resistance tested. Saunas, showers and baths should be avoided as hot water may damage the water-resistance seals.
